On November 18, the 75th anniversary of the founding of our company was celebrated with a concert at the House of Music in Budapest. The event featured the New Liszt Ferenc Chamber Choir conducted by Péter Erdei, the Dohnányi String Quartet, and pianists Zsófi Persányi and Fülöp Ránki. The concert program included works by 19th and 20th-century Hungarian classics – Franz Liszt, Ernő Dohnányi, Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, Lajos Bárdos and Ferenc Farkas – as well as works by György Kurtág, László Vidovszky and young Hungarian composers Péter Tornyai and Mátyás János Stark. Before the programme, guests were greeted by Natasha Baldwin, President of Global Classics, Jazz & Screen, Universal Music and Universal Music Publishing, Dr. Tünde Mózes-Szitha, General Manager, and László Sigrai, Managing Director of our Hungarian partner-company Editio Musica Budapest Zeneműkiadó. The guest of honour at our concert was 99-year-old György Kurtág.
